The cabinet exhibition in the study room in Liberna is dedicated to Lucas van Leyden's 14-part series of engravings on the Passion of Christ. All graphics in this series date from 1521; so celebrate their 500th anniversary! But why were the engravings considered innovative and inspiring 500 years ago, why Lucas van Leyden as superior and incomparable? Is this relevance still visible today? Or (again) experienceable?
The exhibition lighting is based on sharp-edged accentuation using LED frame projectors and high contrasts.
