Administration & Service Center BP

modern office architecture for up to 360 employees

Place: Lingen

Category: Offices & Office Buildings

The new administration and service center of BP Lingen Europa SE on Waldstrasse is home to the workshops, plant fire brigade, laboratory, canteen and administration and is in close proximity to the production facilities. Modern architecture, the latest technologies and innovative interior design come together in the BP Lingen office building.

The atmosphere in the new building is open and communicative - so-called open space solutions offer open structures instead of isolated individual offices. There are also multifunctional rooms, for example for concentrated individual work or spontaneous meetings. In addition, so-called break-out areas are arranged in the building, which are used for informal meetings and as open communication and meeting areas. A staff restaurant with a wide range and a large outdoor area as well as a spacious inner courtyard contribute to a contemporary working environment.

The lighting design concept for this project is based on our methodical Light4Work lighting concept, which is contains 4 planning leitmotifs:

  1. HCL Human Centric Lighting – people are the focus of lighting design!
  2. Atmosphere – Feel-good light!
  3. Adaptability– Light as neede!
  4. Sustanability – Light design in the interplay of efficiency and effectiveness!

More about Light4Work!

The design and perception-oriented lighting planning ranged from large open-space areas, communicative breakout areas, conference and meeting rooms to an atrium spanned by an impressive pyramid made of ETFE foil. Highlighting the pyramid with its lighthouse function in the evening was one of the highlights of the consistently integrative lighting design. The planning also included the optimization of assembly time and maintenance of the lighting system.

Special attention as an illuminated landmark in the dark was on the approx. 17.00m x 24.00m x 16.50m large atrium-spanning pneumatic pyramid made of ETFE foil. This was provided by KOBER LICHTPLANER with detailed calculations and samples (despite the reflective surface) with homogeneous grazing light illumination, without generating reflective flashes of light or insights into the luminaires. This gives the lighthouse project its long-distance effect and the atrium a pleasant quality of stay with uniform and glare-free lighting. Furthermore, special flush installation details for linear recessed ceiling lights in the modern heating and cooling ceilings in the office areas were developed. These details create both a high-quality bottom view and a significantly time-optimized installation.
