DRAIFLESSEN Collection "Kunst trotz(t) Demenz"

Exhibition lighting

Place: Mettingen

Category: Arts & Culture

Around 400 years ago, in Shakespeare's day, the word "dementia" didn't exist, but the problem of the disease did. Today, the condition of being "not in your right mind" has a name and a growing awareness of the importance of this disease for our steadily aging society. One reason for the Draiflessen Collection to show the unique exhibition "Art despite (t) Dementia", which takes up this topic in a wonderful way. Here, not only well-known artists such as Jörg Immendorf, Felix Droese or Tatsumi Orimoto show their artistic realizations in the environment of the exhibition theme, but also people affected by dementia their artistic view of the world.
